I have small wallet size senior portraits. I want to send them out to friends and family as ANNOUNCEMENTS not invitations to my graduation. So, my question is how, very specifically, do I go about sending out these announcements?
I have to do school announcements for the end of this year and next year, how can I make them not boring and cool? How do I start off and close out?
I’m graduating the Spring and I’m planning on going back to grad school or continuing my education by getting another degree. Do I send out graduation announcements now or do I wait until I’m completely done with school? Thanks!
I am graduating from nursing school and am trying to figure out if I should send out graduation announcements as well as invitations. What is the proper etiquette for such? And how do I word it appropriately?
I would like to send out old-fashioned snail-mail announcements. Should i bother with photo announcements? Where can i get affordable ones?
PS- making my own is a great idea but i don’t have a printer right now!
I need to send wedding announcements to people who can’t make it to my wedding. Any ideas for wording? And am I supposed to wait until after the cerimony or am I supposed to send them out before?
Part of my problem is, I don’t have room for everyone I’d like to have attend. But I still want people to know I’m getting married even if I don’t see them very often…
No, actually I’m not looking for gifts from any of my guests. I know some will insist, but I have plenty of junk already! lol
Okay, so I asked this question earlier about sending invitations to relatives who probably won’t show up:

And I was just talking to my mom about it, and she says that I could send out loads of wedding “announcements” in lieu of invitations; basically, just invitations with a different wording. I thought that this would be a bit confusing; what if people showed up when I didn’t expect them to? Or what if people I WANTED to show up didn’t, because they didn’t think it was a formal invitation? What do you think about this? Is an annoucement really that distinguished from an invitation?
Hi. My fiance and I are getting married in a while but this question has been one I’ve meant to ask for a while now. What is the proper way to go about wedding announcements and wedding invitations. I have a list of 300 people we’d like to send information to about thew wedding but realistically they can’t all come. Maybe 200 tops can come. So how do I inform the rest that we’re married or are preparing to get married without them feeling left out or showing up for the wedding.
My Future Mother-In-Law has given me a list of people that she only wants me to send an announcement and not an invitation. She doesn’t want the recipients to think we are asking for presents only to send a notice that we are getting married. Where can I get information on either where to buy an announcement card or what to put on the announcement?
I just received all my graduation announcements from my school to pass out, I feel bad passing these out to relatives and not including a ticket, but I only get 5 of them:(
I don’t want to just send them empty announcements… should I have a get together with my family and invite those who didn’t get invited? how would I put that in the card? the cards I got from the school already has stuff written in it, saying the time and place of my graduation(which is awkward, since most of these guys are even going) but would it be weird to type an invitation to a graduation BBQ, cut it and just freely set it inside the card?
You see on this website http://smosh.com how they have that slide show announcement thing. How can I make on those? Do I use adobe flash? Or java script, or what?
Ok. I have adobe flash, dreamweaver, and photoshop
Our wedding is at least two years away as we want to wait for me to finish with college. We both have huge families and it would be near impossible to phone them all to tell them. I was thinking maybe we should do engagement announcements with our engagement pictures sometime in the near future just to let them know that we are engaged and plan to get married in about two to three years. Any opinions?
I’m sure we will have an engagement party. My aunt is into all that and she wants to through all of my wedding parties(ie. engagement party, bridal tea, etc.) I’m just not sure when though.
Oh, btw. Thank you both.
Happily Engaged<3-congratulations as well!
I'm pretty sure that I have made the decision to send engagement announcements. Yes, I have a NEWSPAPER, my grandmother, but personally, I would rather hear the wonderful news through the person/people that it is about, not through the grapevine. Thanks everyone!
Just as a general guide, when a company makes an announcement, and the share price either increases or decreases based on that announcement, how many days will the announcement have affect on the share price?
For example, immediately when the announcement is made is that the sole time the share price is influenced?
Or, can the share price be influenced even 1 or 2 days after the announcement?
considering that no new news have come up .
how do u send out an a graduation announcement when you don’t necessarily want that person to come to your open house….like wording wise what would u say?
So Bush is expected to announce troop withdrawals, but why tell us that? Can’t our tiny little minds handle an actual announcement without being warned of it beforehand? Do they think they need to cushion the blow? Deflect the criticism before it even has a chance to develop? It’s like telling someone “now i’m going to hit you” before actually hitting them. Anyone with half a brain ducks, if they believe you, that is. And maybe that’s just it- he thinks we won’t believe it. I wonder why he’d think we wouldn’t believe him. He’s been so honest about everything else, right?
And just a side note for the GOP… I think the Gen. Petraeus thing was in poor taste, and it was just plain stupid. So not all Dems hate America, ok?
