Wireless networks are perfect for people who want to connect laptop and desktop computers or for people who don’t like to be tied down. Malware and Spyware Removal
Does it seem like your computer has a life of its own? It could be a virus or trojan. No matter what kind of computer you have, you always need the most up-to-date Anti-Virus software. Not only do Anti-Virus programs protect your computer from crashing, but they also prevent you from accidentally passing the infection to other computers of family and friends when you send e-mails or share files. If you’re unsure about which virus software to install or how to configure it, just give us a call!

Internet Security Protection and Firewalls
How secure is your computer? As Internet usage has grown, so has the number of security threats. One way to protect yourself is to install a firewall, which keeps intruders from sneaking into your computer and accessing your private data. Firewalls also can alert you when unauthorized programs such as viruses and spyware attempt to transmit your sensitive information over the Internet. In particular, firewalls are crucial if you have the always-on Internet connection of DSL or a cable modem. Protect yourself and your family … with help from NaplesNet.

Data Transfer Backup and Recovery
How often do you backup your PC? If it were to crash or be stolen, would you lose important data? Geeks Mobile recommends installing a rewritable DVD burner or an external hard drive. In addition to helping you to backup your data safely, we also offer data-recovery services that can try to recover lost files resulting from hardware malfunctions, software conflicts, or viruses.

Preventive PC Maintenance and Optimization
You wouldn’t drive a car for years without changing the oil, so why ignore your computer? Like any investment, your computer needs constant care, which means keeping it free of dust. When was the last time your PC had a thorough cleaning? If it has been more than six months, it is time to schedule a preventive-maintenance visit.

I recently had to fix my PC, but now when I start it, it goes to the user menu and I have to type my password in to continue. This is for the computer administrator and there are no other users. How do I get this to go back to simply powering on to just go to the welcome screen and my usual desktop again?

I put a graphics card in my PC, plugged the PC into screen into the graphics card, put on the screen, and it said no signal, I put it into the motherboard again, and it still said no signal. My PC worked before, but since i put the graphics card and took it out it keeps saying no signal. I checked the monitor, and it’s connected properly. I got asus motherboard, ATi graphics card, celeron processor.
I tried running it without the graphics card and it did the same.

One evening i was using my desktop and it turned itself off. When i came to turn it on it wouldn’t. I tried to do a partial recovery but the system didn’t like it.

As i had not backed up my files i couldn’t do a full recovery. I wass advised have the data saved to disk and then do a full recovery.

When the chap came round he advised that i could do it that way but the pc would not last and i would have to buy a new one. He advised that it would take about 2 hours to do this which would mean a payment of around £100.00.

Instead he told me to get a new hard drive which would be only one call out fee of 49.50 + VAT and the hard drive of 77.00 + VAT.

He told me i could fit it and he would help over the phone or he would come. He made the decision to come and do it and then charged another visit of 49.50 + VT for something i could have done myself.
I was understood he wasn’t charging for the 2nd visit as he never said and he didn’t fix it the first time. Is this a rip off? Ta
He only lived 10 minutes away and yes i did think it was excessive and i did say to him that he just couldnt be bothered to save the data and he said no no no etc etc! I am rubbish lol!

Hi, I have a dell 8300, the problem is that when I put connect the pc to an electrical socket, the pc turns on immediately and won’t shut down, no matter how long I keep the power button pressed for manual shutdown.
The pc won’t boot or do anything, it only showing a black screen.
I thought it was a hardisk problem also, so I switched it for a another harddisk that works, but nothing.
The harddisk light stay on just like power light.
Is the power supply busted or is it something else?

    Thank in advance.

There is a PC in my household that is completely useless. I think it is running windows 2000. Every time I try to access any icons or even the start menu I get an error message like “Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service” or something regarding memory being low :S. I’m confused. Is there a simple fix to this, like wiping everything? I mainly use my mac and just need a desktop for the leisurely browsing and occasional typing.

  • Elijah luv says:

About a month ago I installed a second monitor to my PC but ended up disconnecting it because the new setup hurt my eyes. At one point when I was trying to set up the monitors, my computer switched completely over to that monitor and shut down my main one.
At this point its become a problem. My computer keeps giving me crap about graphics card problems, and I can’t even run any games because of these issues. Every time I start my computer I have to hit F1 because of a window that pops up saying something about the graphics card or something like that.
Is there any way I can fix this? I couldn’t find anything under my personalization tab but maybe someone else knows how to fix this. Before I tried these two monitors, my personalization tab also was set for two monitors, but now it’s set for one, which I believe is the wrong one. The image on my monitor seems fine but I’m not really sure what’s going on.

I deleted the hard drive on my PC (Packard Bell I-media about 3 yrs old). Now when I install my recovery floppy disk and try to reinstall everything, I get an error message stating hard drive not found! I no longer have all 3 recovery CD-Roms but have recently purchased a new PC and made a recovery DVD – Is their any way I can use this on my old PC to reformat the hard drive? Any free utilities I can use? When I switch on the PC it wants to boot from CD Rom first and then floppy. Please help!
I get the option to add the serial number and when I do, it still states hard drive not found.
