Welcome to the world of web analytics, where you can measure just about anything. You may already know about site metrics and various analytics tools; you might even use them now, to measure various visitor activity on your company’s website. Mike Fleming at Search Engine Guide noted that such measurement was easy and informative, back in the days when all of a firm’s content got pushed out on its own website. Nowadays, that’s no longer true. Yes, you still need to measure visitor activity on your website, but it won’t tell you the full story anymore. If you maintain a separate blog on Blogge…

hi, i want to promote my website with all the search engines but am overwhelmed with all the advice on the net about promotion, etc. My website is to advertise my apartment for rent in spain. i can´t afford to pay for this so i suppose i am limited to sites that want something from me. Metatags have been mentioned a lot but i´m not sure what the coding is to do this and where it should go, eg at the top ofthe page before any other coding? Also, are metatags effective? Thanks
Hi all am I an unsuccessful person? My father said that I am a bit of a failure in life compared to my brother who got into a fortune 500 company doing computers. First of all, I am in my late 20’s and still live at home. I graduated college at 23 and worked for a year full time doing a sales job, and then went to graduate school for a year and a half while still in school. I actually dropped out of graduate school because I found out that it wasn’t worth it financially. So I went back to work, and then eventually got fired doing something stupid. Then changed careers and I went into online marketing. I worked for a year or two and got laid off and the job totally sucked and the paid was low for NYC (40K) in 2007. Now its 2008, I got a web analytics certification and some experience in working, I can’t seem to find a job that pays more than 40k. Now this is NYC, apartments cost over 1k a month in rent. Am I unsuccessful? I can’t seem to find a job that pays 60k. Thanks
Is it more risky to have a wrestler like Ryback, Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, etc, win the Rumble, or to have someone like Cena win the Rumble?
If it’s a wrestler they’re taking a big risk on (i.e. fans aren’t that over, only the company really care about him, like Ryback) is it better to have him win the Royal Rumble or the MITB? Why?
I say Cena because it’s very likely as well as heavily rumoured that he will win.
Auric: I hope you realise the past 2 years has been about Cena? It’s all been to build him as the ultimate underdog who rises against everything that got piled on him. It’s all been a waste to have him overcome The Rock under the most important conditions – for ‘his’ title. Don’t give me that BS about Cena being in a ‘hellhole’ when he’s the only priority WWE have.
Encyclopedia: I finished the answer with 1,600 words and 10,000 characters. I need to cut it to at least 1,000 words so please give me time.
AK74: Winning the Rumble does not equal ‘passing the torch’. Not even close.
Whether or not you’re an AGW ‘skeptic’, you have to admit that there are risks involved with emitting massive amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. And the reality is that at some point we’re going to take serious action to reduce carbon emissions. Plus oil is a limited resource concentrated heavily in politically unstable areas, and we should be trying to reduce our dependence on it. So I’m wondering precisely what measures people would be willing to accept.
So far political conservatives in the USA have rejected any market-based approach to reduce carbon emissions, and as a result we’re stuck with government (EPA) regulation. Republicans will no doubt attempt to eliminate the EPA’s ability to regulate greenhouse gases, but it’s not likely that they’ll be successful. Their best chance at success would be to pass a climate bill and replace EPA regulation with some sort of market-based system. So which of the following would you be willing to support, and why? Feel free to select multiple options, but state the one you most prefer.
1) Government regulation (i.e. EPA).
2) Market-based carbon cap and trade system
3) Carbon tax offset by reductions in other taxes
4) Heavy government investment in R&D and implementation of alternative fuel and energy technologies
5) Other
If you support #4, please specify where they money should come from. For example, should we implement a carbon tax but use the funds to invest in alternative technologies instead of reducing other taxes?
If you’re going to claim there is no risk then don’t bother to “answer” the question. I’m not interested in ignorant statements, I’m interested in the opinions of people who are capable of intelligent thought.
Every job at the end ask you if you have any questions. I have been researching online and come up with 3 questions. Are these any good? And is this enough or to much? Its an interview for a bank teller
1. From working between stores I’ve notice each store has a different culture. What would you say the culture is like here? What is it that you like about here?
2. I think an important part of of doing the job well, is being told when your doing a really good job and when you need to make improvements. So I was wanting to know how the company measures success and how it reviews it?
3. I’ve been banking here my while life, so I like to think I already have firm knowledge about the company. But when I was looking online I notice your community work I never knew about. how every year you still pay the employee, but they can go out one day just to do community work. I thought this was a really cool opportunity you offer, is there any more you could tell about it?
Please let me know what you think. And if there are any other question I should be asking.
I wonder if someone can help?
I have been researching my family history over the last few years and have really enjoyed it!
I’d like to turn a hobby into a part time business and research other peoples family history, in return for payment.
I’m an amateur and if it took off I’d consider gaining qualifications.
Most of my research would be undertaken online via subscribed sites and free sources.
Before I start my main concern is complying with copyright and such legislation when using other companies research and using it for my end results.
I assume a lot of industries rely on other companies research in their work too?!
Would it basically mean I would have to record the companies I obtained the information from, like a bibliography?
Thank you for your time, any help would be gladly received
