I am writing a story about a girl who goes to a boarding school (set in england) she makes new friends, blah blah blah. Basically this is the plot–
She’s new to a boarding school (mixed) and really pretty. she’s never had that sort of attention before, the girls all want her to be with their group and the boys talk about her, this real hot american boy in the school, likes her and they end up going out. On the first proper date he takes her to a small concert place and because shes really pretty she gets way too much attenion from strangers than she’d like. she gets close to being attacked but just gets beaten up because she tried to fight back and then he comes to rescue her. the rest of it is about her trying get through to Jase (the american bf) and stop cutting himself up about it. coz hes feeling guilty tht he couldnt protect her properly. then its christmas break…then its the end…
Okay — im not from england so i don’t kno really any subjects tht they teach, the age kids stop going to school (i hear they go to college) cuz my story they are both 16…i don’t really kno if theyd be allowed into town on a weekend at a boarding school HELP!
plus do you think its an okay storyline if not could you suggest something else….i like writing-it keeps my mind off of my own school
Jase the american has his dad in england cus his mum and dad split up and they moved over…his dad is an architect….
I have never been involved in a group interview before. Though I have a pretty good idea of what to expect is there anything in particular I need to expect or make sure I do?
Is wearing AE clothing too much or is it preferred?
I know it’s a casual and laid back atmosphere so I was thinking about wearing a knee length jean skirt, flats, and either nice-casual top or an AE tee. Would that be acceptable?
Any other advice or pointers would be appreciated as well
We are professionals in our 30’s planning to relocate to Vancouver around 10/08 and would appreciate any advice on neighborhoods (safe, charming with character, convenient to central work districts or general commute, with great shops and restaurants, organic grocers or farmers markets…) We will visit end of 8/08 to get a general idea of the area and the rental market. Any recommendations for great relocation or rental housing resources, and excellent executive recruiting firms for Corp Finance positions would be welcome as well. p.s. we’ve been to Vancouver when we were teenagers and had good memories of the city, but don’t know much about it now. Thank you in advance for any advice 🙂
nyninchdick – thanks for the comparison, very helpful.
freeside49 – we will visit your suggested areas.
bob shark – I just married a Canadian & will apply for residency 🙂 however, why is living @ 3300 block west broadway contingent on having “immigrations papers in order”?
Andrew – we absolutely love SF and will keep our property here, but since I am married to a Canadian (from Montreal), we decided to move to Vancouver as a compromise (living in Canada & staying on the west coast)..we plan to live in BC for a couple years, if we love it as much as SF, we will settle there long term 🙂
I love galaxies, they fascinate me so much and I just love everything about them. I love space and the topic interests me so much. Im thinking of becoming an astronomer but im only 13 so I have a long way ahead. My question is if there is are certain kinds of astronomers and if so, what are they and what so they study? My only concern is that im not very good at math, just decent. I love science though and my science grade has never been below an A-. Will my ability in math stop me? Im willing to do whatever I can to get what I want and try as hard as I can but I just don’t know about math. Also what classes should i take in highschool and how hard is it to become an astronomer? Thanks for the help! 🙂

Ok, So i’ve realised i am officially addicted to tattoos.
I got my first one in 2006, 2nd one in 2009, 3rd in 2010 and i’m already designing my next one. So yes i think they are like pringles.
I don’t really like telling people what i’m getting as i like my tattoos to be semi ‘unique’. But hey ho, i need advice.
I want a tattoo saying:
A Beautiful Thing Is Never Perfect (I’ve found an amazing font).. then i want a nice pretty ribbon/bow underneath. ( i think)
What i’m having trouble with is the bow/ribbon. It looks nice, but i’m not sure if i should get a image depicting the text above it. I hope that makes sense. I don’t want any sort of animal or any big picture as its going down my ribs/stomach
If anyone can suggest some nice images to set the text off, that would be great.
I also want to get that tattoo as people always call me ‘beautiful#…and the thing is, i don’t think i am..but if i have to take that title, then people need to know i’m not perfect.
That probably does not make any sense, but thanks guys
xx

I’m currently taking a pre-calc course and just learned synthetic and long division. I’ve grasped how to do each of the methods individually but want to gain a deeper understanding of the RELATION between the two so I can remember/understand them better.
If someone can please show an example using BOTH Synthetic and Long Division analyzing the specifications of the two methods showing how they intertwine I’d appreciate it. For example, how the answers in synthetic division answer (Remainder, Coefficient, Quotient(x),(x^2) etc) are prevalent in the long division answer/process but in a different form/structure. (How the two problems are the same but are laid out differently) To express how both methods have similar purpose and result with the same answer however to also address the restrictions synthetic division has than opposed to long division.
**Whomever can present an accurate and clear visual presentation of an example showing HOW Synthetic & Long Division relate with a brief explanation underneath will get 10 POINTS! (The more thorough the better but if it’s short and precise that’s good too!)
A consideration is if anyone has a flickr or istockphotos account etc. it may be more convenient and clear to understand to take a pic of the example & explanation on paper & just paste a link. That way you wont have to do the tedious work of typing the symbols or problem from the keyboard. Besides it doesn’t look the same so it’s difficult to understand and less visually appealing. lol It almost looks like code it you know what mean. 😛
Whomever is willing to put the time and effort to answer this question is much appreciated cause they are not only helping me but are serving as an great resource to help expand other students knowledge of these methods in times of need. So be proud whatever you do to help you’re def going to making a DIFFERENCE with your response. I personally have a BIG exam coming up so understanding this will give more depth and meaning to what I’m learning so I grasp it better.
The general knowledge of the relation between the two methods will help me differentiate which is BEST to use in what cases/problems.
Sorry to write so much but to be honest I’ve searched everywhere on google & no site gave me an outline or overview of how Synthetic and Long Division are related. Just laid out the difference or similarities between the two and that wasn’t much help. This was honestly my last option… my instructor can’t explain squat either since he’s foreign so I’m pretty much stuck with expanding my knowledge. lol
I look forward to reading your responses and appreciate your time for reading my request. To whomever is courageous/big hearted enough to answer my question thanks in advance!! 🙂
“I don’t want any of them here. They are a dangerous element. It makes no difference whether he is an American citizen; he is still a Japanese… We must worry about the Japanese all the time until he is wiped off the map.” (DeWitt). Japanese interment camps were established during World War II. These camps were designed for Japanese-Americans that were speculated to be guilty of espionage or possible retaliation against the United States. The camps were built following the attack on Pearl Harbor. Consequently, the United States, on behalf of John L. DeWitt, had decided that a belligerent course of action was vital to prevent any relapse in assailment and turmoil. John had wanted to incarcerate all Japanese-Americans for the truculent acts of a few. While living conditions were quite loathsome in these camps, it is not quite as abhorring as for the victims of the Holocaust. Their camps were built with death and tribulation in mind, whilst the Japanese interment camps were simply relocation camps with the intention of confining all of those conjectured to be condemned of undercover operations for the Japanese.
During World War II, the Japanese had contentiously assaulted Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. America responded with hostility and ruthlessness, engaging in countless battles on the basis that all Japanese were loyal subjects of the Emperor of Japan. The Japanese were left with two choices, side with the United States in the war, or be deported to an internment camp. Residents of Hawaii following the attack were intimidated with fear of an onslaught reiteration. America had unanimously concluded that retaliation was compulsory to protect its citizens. Rather than pursuing hostile retribution, it was established that every Japanese-American on sight would be deported to a relocation center, or internment camp. America was taking acute measures of discretion to cease any possible manifestations of reiterated brazenness. In addition to federally fueled reprisal, American citizens subjected themselves to disparaging the Japanese off of fundamentally a subliminal fabricated publication in an attempt to rectify and rationalize the course of action taken by the Japanese, much like how the psychological effects exploited via the utilization of propaganda by the Nazi regime during the Holocaust induced German citizens into belittling and fathoming those of the Jewish religion to be of an inferior race. While the motives of the Japanese behind the attack on Pearl Harbor are profoundly disputed, it is, however, cognized that the Japanese gave no aforementioned declaration of war, in which it is alleged that some members of the Roosevelt administration indeed were informed of the attack, but chose to instead omit its essence in order to be in the British Empire’s favor and her allies of entering the war.
Life in the internment camps was quite loathsome, however not to the extent of the concentration camps established during the Holocaust. These relocation camps were located, in an article that states “California, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, and Arkansas.” (Infoplease.com, internment camps). The homes built for the Japanese were exceedingly compact and did not even cover bare essentials such as plumbing. The camps appeared to be ubiquitous throughout the United States. The men were separated from the rest of their family, much like during the Holocaust. The camps also boasted the lowest mortality rate of the United States during times of war, and was diminutive in comparison to victims of the Holocaust. It is estimated that approximately 110,000 Japanese-Americans were incarcerated during World War II. The living conditions in the camp were scantily adequate at best; however, the captivated were not confined to laborious work, nor was anyone beaten to death or executed via “selection” and malnutrition was a sporadic plight, in contradiction to those faced by Holocaust victims. Despite the prevalent racial bias towards Japanese-Americans, over 10,000 volunteered to fight alongside America in World War II. This could be due to the Japanese-Americans’ desire to combat the fabricated publication of their ethnicity or as an attempt to be liberated from bondage of the United States. In an article, it is stated that “Each block consisted of 14 barracks, one male lavatory and showers, one female lavatory and showers, a laundry room, an ironing facility, one mess hall, and a recreation hall.” (Wikipedia, internment camps). Contradictory to concentration camps during the era of the Holocaust, the captivated Japanese were given a prevalent amount of sovereignty in which they were able to wash and iron their own clothes, as well as pass time in the recreation hall, whilst those confined under the Nazi regime were confined to strenuous labor and had no means of washing their own clothes nor the option to pursue any avocations due to the lack of personal certitude. The homes for the Japanese were hasti
…the essay got cut off. Here’s the rest of it.
The homes for the Japanese were hastily built with simple frame construction. As aforementioned, no plumbing was accommodated for during the establishment of these internment camps, nor was there a kitchen, and as such had to rely solely on rations provided by the discretion of the authoritarian enforcers. Only the bare necessities were provided to victims of the camps, such as a bed and shower, albeit the living conditions were greatly ameliorated in converse to the era of Nazi regime. Although not explicitly stated, the Japanese were to fight for America, but at their own prerogative, rather than by coercion. America had intended to instill fear into the Japanese so as to deter any future belligerent reprisal from manifesting.
Profoundly akin to Hitler and the beginning of the Nazi regime, the proposal of the establishment of relocation war camps was highly dependent on the general consensus’s affinity towards the rationale of the pr
Elaborating, Hitler had come to the extensive fabricated publication that the Jewish people were the cause of Germany’s downfall in both economic and military sanctions. As can be contemplated, one can fathom that the multitude of observers found his presumptions to be demented. It is through the exploitation of the psychological effects of propaganda and logically arranged characters in a binding lexicon that had effectively allowed Hitler’s rise to power while also subjugating the general consensus subtly over an undefined period of time. What began as segregation by definition of the Yellow Star of David progressed to the confinement of the ghettos, which eventually was ameliorated to Hitler’s cause and the establishment of the concentration camps and the massacre of those wrongfully condemned as Germany’s decline of power. While incorporating a distinct approach, John L. DeWitt also was able to efficaciously subconsciously manipulate the subconscious minds of popular sovereignty, t
While incorporating a distinct approach, John L. DeWitt also was able to efficaciously subconsciously manipulate the subconscious minds of popular sovereignty, the very people at the heart of the United States’ government. At first proposal, not unlike Hitler, much animosity was riveted by the multitude of the nation. John required the aid of the president in order to auspiciously beguile the subliminal mind of America. In addition to inconspicuously predominating the general consensus, President Franklin D. Roosevelt initiated the enactment of the Japanese war relocation camps upon signing of the Executive Order 9066 which authorized the removal and deportation of Japanese-Americans. (American History, Japanese Internment Camps).
The signing of the document led to some major negative consequential repercussions for the Japanese. As aforementioned, it is estimated that some 110,000 Japanese-Americans residing along the Pacific Coast were relocated.
The brazen belligerence of the Japanese on Pearl Harbor led to the foundation of the war relocation camps. Consequently, the Japanese faced many antagonizing repercussions that were correlated with the prevaricating publicized cognizance. While the living conditions of the camps themselves were not as detesting in comparison to Nazi concentration camps, the conditions of the homes themselves are commendable of being scorned upon. Bare essentials, however, were amply met, such as showers and beds, as well as a dignified sovereignty that included recreational activities. It is apparent that the broadcasting of logically arranged characters in a binding lexicon can be utilized to portray a minority as the cause of one’s affliction.
It is initiated by one person, but requires the aid of the general consensus and diligence, as one cannot manipulate the subliminal without a disciplinary motive.
In the very first “additional details”, the “pr” that is cut off is supposed to be “proponent.”
In the second additional details, after “popular sovereignty”, it is supposed to say “the very people at the heart of the United States’ government.”
I’m interested in taking photos of nature – particularly wildlife. I’m looking for a high-end great quality camera, preferably below $1000. Any suggestions would be great! thanks!

I’m 21 year old young woman. I live in a town where there are NO job openings.
I want to go back to school but I’m not eligible for government help so I need to pay for this on my own. Pretty much everyone in this town in living off welfare and they laugh at me if I even suggest I might need help going to school.
I do need help. I want to go to an art school. Graphic design, animation, ANYTHING in art interests me and I’m talented in that area.
But what am I to do if I can’t even get started with a job here and save enough to move out and start elsewhere?
I’m starting to feel frustrated and useless.
I just want sensible understanding advice.
Thanks.
