A month ago a coworker and I started talking randomly. He made me laugh and was kinda interesting. Eventually, he started asking me out which I denied at first. On my birthday he took me out for lunch and about a week later we went out for drinks. Never did I touch him playfully or compliment him and now my other coworkers say I’m leading him on! I never flirted with him and suddenly I’m a tease for not wanting a relationship with this guy. I genuinely considered this a “work friendship” type of thing just like what I have with the rest of my peers.
He asks me out for just about any reason and I continuously deny him, not that he isn’t fun but I don’t want him to think I’m into him because I’m really not. In my head, he’s a friend. A new one.
My question is, am I leading him on though?
Why should I make myself clear about my emotions when he’s the one that is getting the wrong signals?

okay so I don’t think I’m schizophrenic just paranoid that I am but I would like to get your opinion.
My mom would always talk to herself quite a bit, it passed down genetically to me. She would generally talk to her self while listening to music and being in her own ”wonderland”. It got passed down to me and my sister so we would always day dream quite a bit.
A few months back I developed this nasty habit, were I would talk to my self in my head for example lets say i’m going to go write an exam; my own thoughts would tell me to be like ”pray 12 times”. This started when I believe I was wiring and exam and my own thoughts told me to ”re read a certain chapter” or ”start on a certain section first”. Weirdly enough it worked, because I did fantastic on that exam.
What iv noticed is that every time I do what these ”thoughts say” i’m generally successful. For example today when I driving back from the store I wanted to make a left turn buy my thoughts were like ”I wouldn’t do that if I were you you’re gonna get into an accident”. But it was ME thinking it but for no reason.
I think this traces back to my child hood because my mother was very religious, when I started talking to my self I made and imaginary friend and called it ”god”. That imaginary friend stuck with me, however I honestly think that the ”imaginary friend” is just my conciseness (kinda like your logic and reasoning) so when I tell my self to not turn, it’s because id rather not risk slipping and getting into an accident. Or to study a bit more. Some are weird however because iv gotten very superstitious and if I’m working on something a and I wanna check my Facebook my thoughts will be like ”finish what your doing first or you’re not gonna get the response you’d like”. Or ”replace certain words with words that I believe to be incorrect”.
I looked up the symptoms.
1: I’m not suicidal
2: I’m a pretty happy kid (most people would say)
3: Everyone I know says I’m confident or cocky (I do doubt my self tho when I go on an assignment that I know that I have to do and I would question my ability)
4: I have a lot of goals in life, including; getting rich, being successful and doing something historic. I also started trading stocks at the age of 18 and investing in property in 2013.
5: IM EXTREMELY social, iv had multiple girlfriends, tons of friends and I try to go out every weekend
6: lol I do cry sometimes but rarely and generally if me and my parents have had a big fight (I’m a bit of a softy sometimes).
7: I do mind getting criticized as does everyone else however I don’t act out on it, a co-worker actually said that one of my best attributes is that ”I take advice and that if someone says something you let it roll of your back like it doesn’t phase you”.
My conclusion: I’m applying to a police force and I know they conduct a physiological interview. What I think is going on is that iv gotten very paranoid if I will pass or not and that that is why I over analyzed my self and half convinced my self I have a problem that I most likely don’t. I wanted to apply since I was 16 and now that iv gotten very close to my goal I’m over paranoid.
I would still like your opinion though please read it and tell what you think.
This girl is in one of my classes, and I just recently this month started texting her and having conversations. I know she was really feeling me at one point and still might be, but I’m not entirely sure. Anyway, I see her only for about 4 minutes in the day because the ONLY time I meet her is after the class I have with her and she has to go someplace. Bottom line is, the only way I’ve gotten to know her is through text, texts that have been growing in size and quantity since we started. At first I felt like I was in control of the “courting”, I had it the ball in my court, as per se. Well, maybe it was something I said or texted, but I’ve been feeling like she’s taken control and has been manipulating. I had a deep convo with her over text a couple days back, and she replied kind of harshly. Since then, all her remarks have been kind of disconcerting, and we’ve stopped texting. The most we ever went without texting before was like a little under a day. It seems like she’s cut me off completely. I don’t know though, on Facebook it says she’s checked in (she never went on Facebook before we started talking). Also, before I met her she was dressing raggedy and didn’t really care all that much about her appearance, but since then, she’s been dressing up and whatnot. Also, I don’t know what it means, but she seems to avoid eye contact whenever we talk, most likely because she’s shy (she is shy) or it could be some sort of underlying thing? Then, it seems like she’s either playing games with me or lost interest. She’s been kind of avoiding talking to me. There are still prevalent indicators of interest but I have no clue where this is going. I’m not afraid to admit that I like her, it’s just that I’m receiving those cliched “mixed signals”. I don’t play someone’s game, period. I might utilize my own games to chase the girl but I don’t tangle in other people’s wicked webs of deceit. Just to let you know, what might have turned it around was when I sent this deep text to her about some deep feelings. I know that’s a major no-no in texting but it didn’t seem inappropriate (at the time). It also could have been the fact that she says how I don’t smile and have depressive thoughts. I don’t know. Could she be liking someone else now? I also asked her to hang out once but she says she’s busy, and understandably so (although not busy enough to not hang out in my opinion) It’s not avoiding as if just avoiding, she goes out of her way to avoid me like she’s scared of talking to me. That’s the impression I get, she’s scared of talking to me. She is a very shy girl though and doesn’t talk a whole lot. She is pretty nice though and I get the feeling she sometimes doesn’t know how to respond to social situations. Or maybe I’m just in denial.
Some examples of her souring on me:
1. I once greeted her and she replied “Hi?” with the question tone at the end
2. She’s been avoiding having actual conversations with me. The other day, she went a different way out the class and when I greeted her and she greeted me back, a friend called her and she went over. (Her friend didn’t realize she was talking to me, she just saw an opportunity to run away and took it).
3. She’s always rushing out of the class I have with her to get to her next destination.
My question is: What do you make of this and what do you think she is doing? Is she still interested?
I currently have a 3.4 GPA, and am graduating with an advanced regents diploma with honors in humanities, i have played an instrument (violin) for 8-9 years, currently have 2 certifications from Comptia, and have taken 4 AP Social studies classes, 1 english, and 2 science. In addition i have taken Latin for 2 years, and SPanish for 7 years. Also I am a dependent of a 24 year veteran of the USCG. Also I’ve been athletic througout my HS life, with 4 years on cricket team, and 3 years on the wrestling team with advancement to City championships. What are my odds of being selected. Finally what are the chances that i can transfer to the USCG after graduation @ west point, as i have heard of cases. Note i would like to attend West Point because of the classes they offer vs the other service acadamies.
